Dr. Peng Zhou (周鹏)

I am a developmental psycholinguist. My research looks at language and conceptual development in both typical and atypical populations. I tackle this problem using a range of converging approaches, including cross-linguistic investigations and behavioural and neuroimaging techniques. I also bring to my research a strong pedigree in linguistic theory and in developmental psychology. Current research in my lab compares language and cognitive development in typically developing children, children with autism spectrum disorder, and children with developmental language disorder, with the aim to address some of the key questions related to the nature of language and the nature of cognition.

周鹏，浙江大学外国语学院长聘教授、博士生导师、万人计划“青年拔尖人才”。2010年获澳大利亚麦考瑞大学认知科学博士学位(儿童语言发展与障碍方向)。2010年10月—2012年1月，在澳大利亚麦考瑞大学从事博士后研究。2012年2月被聘为澳大利亚认知与认知障碍研究中心专职研究员，从事儿童语言和逻辑能力发展的研究。2015年7月，获澳大利亚麦考瑞大学语言学系终身教职，兼任澳大利亚认知与认知障碍研究中心研究员。2016年6月—2023年6月，任清华大学外文系副教授。2023年7月，到浙江大学外国语学院工作。
